Rave On

A friend invited me to see the New Buddy Holly Band with her Friday night and, for the most part, it was fantastic.


I shot this video of my favorite Buddy Holly song, It's So Easy. 

It's short, I know. About halfway through the song I remembered I can shoot video with my new phone. Then it took me several seconds to dig the phone out of my purse. Lost a few more measures looking for the camera app. Had to wiggle around in my seat until I had a clear angle of the band. All while being discreet in my actions. Oh. And sorry it ends so violently. One of my fellow concert goers threw something that hit me in the back of the head.


Can you believe that?


When the lights came back up, I found a dime on the floor. Obviously not a very sophisticated patron of the arts, throwing a dime in a crowded theater. Pshaw. I, personally, was disappointed and appalled. A penny would have been a far classier choice for the sheer irony of having Mr. Lincoln on it.
